Exhibits and Experiences

Since 1970, the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry (Griffin MSI) has hosted the Juried Art Exhibition, the nation’s longest-running exhibition of African American art. Joining that legacy is the Innovator Gallery, which features the work of prominent African Americans who are making their mark on Chicago and the world.

Discover how past and present Black architects respond to the ever-changing needs of humanity through architectural creativity.

The nation's longest running exhibition of African American art features approximately 100 works by adult and youth artists each year.
