Full COVID-19 vaccination (age 5+), photo ID (age 16+), masks (age 2+) and online tickets required to visit.
Know before you go

Proof of COVID vaccination is required for entry.

All guests ages 5+ must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter the Museum. Guests ages 16+ also must show photo identification.

  • Proof of vaccination

Proof of vaccination includes a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or an official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered or a digital or physical photo or photocopy of such a card or record, or app reflecting the person’s name, vaccine brand, and dates administered; or any other method specified by the Commissioner of Health of the City of Chicago as sufficient to demonstrate proof of full vaccination.

  • Identification

Identification means an official document bearing the name of the individual and a photograph. Examples of acceptable identification include driver’s license, non-driver government ID card, passport, and school ID card.

Masks are required while here.

Face coverings that fit snugly over the nose and mouth are required for everyone ages 2 and older—regardless of vaccination status. They must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas. Bandannas, gaiters, masks with vents, or face shields worn alone are not permitted. If you do not follow these mask guidelines, you may be asked to leave the Museum.

Accommodations must be requested in advance.

We cannot make same-day accommodations for our mask and vaccine policies. If you need to request an accommodation with a previously received medical or religious vaccination exemption, or because you are unable medically to tolerate wearing a face covering or cannot wear a mask safely for reasons related to a disability, please complete the Guest Services Request form at least three days in advance of your visit. A member of our team will contact you.
