Learn how to leverage makerspace environments!

The Make_X program at Griffin MSI trains educators how to leverage makerspaces and other creative environments, interwoven with design thinking, to achieve a wide variety of educational goals.

The sessions are organized into different modules, covering:

  • Griffin MSI Grid System
  • Makerspace Strategy
  • Paper Engineering
  • Vinyl Cutting
  • 3D Printing
  • Digital Embroidery

Educators can complete Make_X modules through a series of one-hour online sessions or spend the day at Griffin MSI and complete all sessions in person. Griffin MSI can also work with you to create programs to be held at your site.

Make_X Teacher Summer Camps

This one-week onsite course assists schools and community organizations with implementing digital fabrication technology and design thinking into their lesson plans and program designs. Participants can also earn Illinois State Board of Education professional development credit with this course.
