This quick and easy Indian favorite is served during festivals and special occasions.
1/4 cup chopped cashews
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup melted butter or oil 2 cups
Rava (cream of wheat), prepared 1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1/4 cup hot milk
Stir-fry the cashews and raisins in a small amount of butter in a skillet for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and set aside; wipe out the skillet. Fry the cream of wheat in the remaining butter in the skillet over low heat. Stir in the sugar and cardamom powder. Remove from the heat. Add the milk, stirring until smooth. Fold in the cashews and raisins. Shape the mixture into small balls.
