Experience the Capture
The U-505—the only German submarine captured by the U.S. Navy during World War II—is now part of a 35,000-square-foot interactive exhibit. A special behind-the-scenes tour of the U-505 will take place on select Saturday and Sunday mornings. This exclusive, private group tour begins at 8:15 a.m. with a continental breakfast, guided tour of the exhibit and on-board tour of the submarine. You will then enjoy a presentation by a Museum exhibit expert about the U-505. United States submarine veterans will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences. The tour lasts approximately 2-1/2 hours. Since general admission is included with this tour, you can enjoy the rest of the day at the Museum.
