YOU! The Experience is one of the first and largest exhibitions to showcase the connection between the human mind, body and spirit in the 21st century. Opening weekend is your chance to be among the first to experience the fun and fascinating ways to explore what it is to be … YOU!
Join us for special events and activities to celebrate the opening of our newest permanent exhibit. Cooking demos to circus performers, dance moves to diagnosing mannequins: come learn and explore your health and well-being in this big weekend. YOU! The Experience and these opening weekend events are free with general admission to the Museum. (See below for even better news.)

Meet iStan, our Human Patient Simulator; try suturing with real surgical tools; and explore virtual surgery. This lab experience is normally limited to school groups; take advantage of this special event for the general public. Recommended for ages 12 and older. Space is limited.

Our MC for these cooking demonstrations will be chef Denise Norton. Denise graduated with highest honors from The Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago. She now owns Flāv'our Cooking School in Forest Park where she instructs, hosts private events and retails gourmet products.
