Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, offers a glimpse into the creative and innovative mind of Chicago native Walt Disney. The exhibition contains many rare artifacts that have not been widely seen by the public—including drawings; props; costumes; artwork from classic Disney animation, theme park attractions, television shows and live action films; plus items from contemporary Disney milestones.

The Artist
Learn about Walt's Midwest childhood, his earliest jobs and drawings, and his move out west, where his pioneering techniques would set new standards for film.
The Showman
Once his name had become synonymous with animation, Walt moved on to live-action films, television, and theme parks—truly becoming a showman of the world.
The Legacy
Explore how audiences today enjoy Disney—from its first beloved characters and stories to the latest offerings and attractions—and try a little movie magic of your own.
