Energy Garden

Your journey into Future Energy Chicago begins in the Energy Garden. In this playful, theatrical area, you’ll transform energy from one form into another as you ride a bike, hand-crank a generator to power a dazzling array of visual effects, or feel the difference in energy demand among different types of light bulbs. The energy inside you will turn into energy you can see, bringing the Energy Garden to life.

The space is then transformed again as it transitions into a beautiful short film, which celebrates the wonders of energy in the natural world and presents the dramatic challenges we face in building a better energy future.

Now that the stage is set for facing tomorrow's energy landscape, it's time to take action in the simulation game.

Preview: The Story of Energy

Simulation Game
Once you've learned the challenges we face, the stage is set to play the fast-paced Simulation Game and find solutions for our energy future.

The Energy Garden experience is included in Museum Entry.
