David Hanson

David Hanson, Robotics Engineer
Hanson Robotics, Dallas, Texas
The flexibility of Hanson's Frubber™ (lifelike skin material) enables his Conversational Character Robots to more easily reflect human emotions. Character Robots can see people and understand speech, which allows them to simulate motives, will and emotions, engendering empathetic human interactions. In the gallery, guests will meet one of Hanson's robots named Zeno. Designed to be a high-level toy, Zeno has the ability to learn, interpret data to recognize people, places and things as well as hold a conversation with guests.
