The Wooded Isle and Gardens of the World's Fair
Join popular speaker and garden historian Cathy Maloney as she presents an engaging overview of the groundbreaking gardens and landscapes of major World’s Fairs across the U.S. Using images from her from her private collection and her recent book, "World’s Fair Gardens," Maloney will show how the horticultural innovations and landscapes of World’s Fairs affect how we garden in our own yards and enjoy our public spaces today.
A walking tour of the Wooded Isle, a remnant of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, will follow the presentation.
