Inventive Genius Lecture Series for Members
Howard “Howie” Bluestein, research professor in the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, is one of the more well-known storm chasers in the country and was an advisor to the Museum on our new Science Storms exhibition. In an insightful lecture, find out what he has learned over his 30-year career about severe convective storms and tornadoes. Learn about his daily activities including transporting state-of-the art instruments to storm centers to take in situation or remote measurements with various types of Doppler radars.
