Events throughout the day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In conjunction with the NASA’s 50th Anniversary and the NASA Future Forums events in Chicago, the Museum will host a space-themed celebration this weekend.
On Saturday at 11 a.m., the Museum and Science Chicago will host the Chicago Public Library’s “One Book, One Chicago” panel discussion on the book “The Right Stuff” by Tom Wolfe. The panel will be moderated by ABC 7’s Paul Meincke and will feature astronaut Commander Ken Ham. To register for the free panel discussion, contact the Chicago Public Library at (312) 747-8191.
Commander Ham will also meet with Museum guests on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. to talk about his recent STS-124 mission to the International Space Station.
There also will be special space-themed live science experiences and activities taking place throughout the Museum all weekend long:
