6 p.m. - MOLECULES TO THE MAX
What’s life like on the nano scale (that is, at one billionth of a meter)? Fun! Tag along with Oxy the oxygen atom and her friends Hydro, Hydra and Carbón as they pilot their ship the Molecularium through a host of sub-atomic environments, including snowflakes, polymer chains and the inside of a penny.
7 p.m. - ALPS
The north face of the Eiger is the stormiest, steepest peak in Europe, and when journalist John Harlin III was nine years old, it took the life of his renowned mountaineer father. Forty years later, he sets off on his own perilous journey—filled with majestic views of Switzerland’s natural beauty—to conquer the mountain.
8 p.m. - BORN TO BE WILD
As human civilization encroaches on the rainforests of Borneo and the Kenyan savannah, young orangutans and elephants are being orphaned. Thrill to the heartwarming adventure as world-renowned primatologist Dr. Birute Galdikas and celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne Sheldrick and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and return these young animals back to the wild.
9 p.m. - RESCUE
See how a Canadian naval commander, two pilots and a volunteer rescue technician train for the unthinkable: responding to a natural disaster. And join them as they and military and civilian responders and hardware from around the world swing into action when an earthquake strikes Haiti, creating one of the biggest humanitarian disasters of the century.
