A Private Viewing Night for Members
Get a rare peek into the imagination of Jim Henson—a brilliant innovator and the creator of Kermit, Big Bird and other beloved characters. This exhibition features 100 original artworks, including drawings, cartoons and storyboards that demonstrate Henson’s talent as a story teller. The exhibit also documents Henson’s process of “visual thinking” through renderings, photographs, documents, puppets and film.
Special Lecture by Karen Falk
Join us at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium for a lecture by Karen Falk, Archives Director for The Jim Henson Company, who will present a brief talk about Jim Henson and his legacy. She is the curator of Jim Henson’s Fantastic World and has organized other Henson exhibits for museums, universities and theaters around the country. In addition, Falk has contributed to numerous publications, documentaries, websites and DVD releases relating to the life and work of Jim Henson.
Seating for the lecture is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The topic of the lecture is best suited for adults but is open to members of all ages. The Brain Food Court will be open until 8 p.m. Parking is free for the evening.
