This special presentation is back for one day only!
Newly updated and returning as part of the Museum's 80th anniversary, this fascinating virtual simulation tour of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition is your chance for a hosted trip back through time.
Dr. Lisa M. Snyder from the Urban Simulation Team at UCLA will be presenting the computer reconstruction of the White City using real-time visual simulation technology. Tim Samuelson, cultural historian for the City of Chicago, will provide expert commentary and insight.
This year's presentation will feature new additions to the reconstruction model, featuring an exploration of Louis Sullivan's stunning Transportation Building, as well as Festival Hall, and the Wisconsin and Illinois state buildings. This is a sold out event every year, so register soon!
As part of the Museum's 80th anniversary in June, MSI is proud to present two events on Sunday, June 23 that explore our roots in the 1893 and 1933 Chicago World's Fairs. See also: Building a Century of Progress.
