Join us on Friday, November 14, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. to kick-off the opening day of Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light.

This not-to-miss opening event features members of the Chicago company of “Jersey Boys,” singing in the season with a favorite tune.  Bring your entire family to help us with the countdown to lighting the Museum’s grand 45-foot tree, which will be decorated with shimmering ornaments representing the Museum’s iconic exhibits.  You’ll also enjoy a breakfast treat from 9:30 to noon—top-your-own Quaker Oatmeal and Tropicana juice—courtesy of Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light sponsor, PepsiCo.

Museum Hours
  • Extended hours through April 19
    Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas
