6-7 p.m. Panel Discussion
Moderator: Kevin Brookins, Vice President, Operational Strategy & Business Intelligence, ComEd
Researchers, policymakers and industry leaders agree that effective solutions to the global energy crisis require a multi-pronged approach, including energy conservation, policy, public education and engineering new technologies. As we aim to shift away from a global dependence on fossil fuels, alternative energy sources are becoming increasingly more prevalent, efficient and cost-effective.
Black Creativity invites you to join a thought-provoking panel discussion on how the combination of conventional and alternative energy sources is redefining the energy landscape. Confirmed panelists include: Deborah Jackson of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Gilbert Campbell III, Co-Owner and Director of Business Development for Volt Energy; and Doyle Beneby, President and CEO of CPS Energy, one of the nation’s largest energy utilities.
Panelists will share their perspectives on the development, distribution and applications of alternative energy technologies, and their impact on the environment, the economy and society at large.
