We are pleased to offer a variety of shops, restaurants and amenities to enhance your Museum experience.
Amenities
Strollers
Strollers are available in the Entry Hall for a $2 charge.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available in the Entry Hall and at the Henry Crown Space Center entrance. An ID is required for complimentary use of a wheelchair. Elevators and ramps serve all public areas within the building.
Disabilities
The Museum and the Omnimax Theater are accessible to persons with disabilities.
Segways
Segways are not allowed inside the Museum, and may not be left at Coat Check.
Elevators
Elevators are located throughout the Museum to accommodate our guests.
Coat Check
Coat Check is available in the Entry Hall. The cost is $1 per item. There are no lockers available. The Museum's Coat Check does not accept the following items: any electronic devices including but not limited to laptop computers and cell phones; food of any kind (however water is permitted); personal strollers; fur coats; bicycles and Segways. Although our Coat Check is staffed during all open hours, any and all items are checked at the owner's own risk. The Museum is not responsible for loss or damage to stored property.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located at the Coat Check in the Entry Hall.
ATM/Cash Stations
ATM/Cash Stations are located on the Lower Level, just east of the main escalators, and in the Entry Hall by the Coat Check.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located in the following areas:
- Entry Hall
- Lower Level: between the Brain Food Cafe and Farm Tech
- Lower Level: Henry Crown Space Center
- Lower Level: U-505 Submarine exhibit
- Main Level: near Yesterday's Main Street and the Coal Mine
- Balcony Level: in the Yellow Stairs, near Reusable City
First Aid
First Aid can be requested by alerting a uniformed Museum staff member.
Water Fountains
Water fountains are located in the Red, Blue, Green and Yellow Stairs.
