Bracelet Watch
Switzerland, c. 1820
Atwood Collection 1533

This watch is one of the earliest to function as both a bracelet and watch. Bracelets became fashionable again during the First Empire in France (1804-1815). Egyptian-revival decoration and fashion were also popular during the First Empire, due to the French military exploits in Egypt at that time.
