Wind Measuring Device

Leonardo designed this instrument to investigate how the size of an opening might affect the velocity of wind blowing through it. The device measures whether wind blowing through the cone with a large base has a greater velocity upon exit than wind blowing through the cone with a smaller base. The cone that produces the greater wind velocity causes the wheel to turn.
