Crane

Other artists and inventors inspired some of Leonardo’s work. Among them was Filippo Brunelleschi, a 15th-century Florentine architect and sculptor who built the massive dome for the cathedral in Florence. Brunelleschi himself developed multiple plans for cranes to aid in the construction of the dome. Based on these designs, Leonardo sketched his own ideas for several different cranes.
