Forty years ago, video games didn’t exist. The Nintendo Company made playing cards, Sony made black and white televisions and Sega imported instant photo booths. Families played games by rolling dice or dealing cards.

Then Pong bounced across the country in 1972… it was love at first sight.

Now we stay up until the wee hours playing football with John Madden, swinging golf clubs with Tiger Woods and skateboarding with Tony Hawk. We travel the globe and visit worlds that exist only in an artist’s imagination and a video game console.

Just like the people who first played them, games are growing up. The art, technology, storytelling, game play and business of games are all more sophisticated than ever before.

Step inside. Discover the humble beginnings of this amazing form of art and entertainment. See where video games are now. Glimpse at where they are going. All by playing more than 100 games.
