A beloved, 63-year-old Chicago tradition that began as a United Nations tribute to World War II allies, Christmas around the World will take you on a holiday journey around the world. Along with Holidays of Light, the exhibition explores a variety holiday customs and traditions— Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan and others celebrated in the United States and in other countries.

See 51 picture-perfect holiday trees, and joyous musical and dance performances that illustrate the varied tapestry of customs reflected in the winter holiday season.

Also, enjoy Season’s Readings. Visit the Museum's Holiday Shop, pick up a gift for your favorite bibliophile and meet local authors, including Bob Ledermann, Christmas on State Street: 1940’s and Beyond, and Arnie Bernstein, Hollywood on Lake Michigan: 100 Years of Chicago and the Movies.

Experience the magic of the holiday season then discover how Hollywood makes movie magic. Don't miss the Museum's newest blockbuster exhibit, Action! An Adventure in Moviemaking, that allows you to make your own movie on a real Hollywood soundstage.
