Named one of the top half marathons in the country by "Runners World Magazine," the Chicago Half Marathon is the now the 6th largest half marathon in the United States. This 13.1-mile race begins and ends on the front lawn of the Museum of Science and Industry and winds through the beautiful parks, historic University of Chicago campus and scenic lakefront in Hyde Park.
Family and friends are welcome to join in the excitement. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. and the free Kid's Fest starts at 9:30 a.m. Kids Fest includes the Jesse White tumblers, activities with the Museum of Science and Industry, the Hook a Kid on Golf Interactive Area and the Chicago Park District Green Machine.
