Reciprocal Admissions
Your Museum of Science and Industry membership allows you to take advantage of two separate programs that offer free or preferred rate admissions at over 200 museums, primarily in North America.
The ASTC Travel Passport Program grants free or discounted general admission to MSI bachelor, masters, and doctorate level members when you travel 90 miles or more from Chicago.
The Local Reciprocity Program grants 50 percent off admissions at museums primarily in Chicago. This program is open to all levels of MSI members.
Important Guidelines for using the reciprocal admissions programs
Because participation in and the benefits of the programs can change at any time, be sure to follow these guidelines.
Step 1: Call first
In order to maximize your experience, call the museum you plan to visit before you go to confirm that reciprocal admission benefits or discounts are still in effect.
Step 2: Bring your MSI card
It is required that you take your MSI membership card with you in order to verify your identity and the active status of your membership. If you do not have your MSI membership card with you at the participating institution, we will not be able to verify your membership by telephone and you will be required to pay full price admissions.
