MSI’s corporate partners play an important role in helping to transform lives through the power of science in communities across Chicago and beyond.
Why Make a Gift?
You can’t spell MSI without “industry.” Julius Rosenwald, president of Sears, Roebuck, founded MSI in 1933 with significant funding support from the Commercial Club of Chicago. Since then, the Museum has launched extraordinary blockbuster exhibits, including the U-505 Submarine, Science Storms and Future Energy Chicago. Corporations in multiple sectors have helped make the Museum of Science and Industry a Chicago icon and world-class institution. Demonstrate your company’s commitment to the communities we all serve by partnering with us.

Live…from the Heart
Since launching in 2006, more than 30,000 students have participated in our “Live...from the Heart” Learning Lab. Students witness a heart bypass live and ask the medical staff questions about medicine and related careers.
See a list of all gifts and learn more about how we applied them to our vision: to inspire our children to achieve their full potential in the fields of science, technology, medicine and engineering.
MSI shows its appreciation for our corporate and foundation partners with special events and experiences held throughout the year, including the Holiday Breakfast surrounded by the splendor of our Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Lights exhibition each December.
