How to Prepare
The following information will help ensure a smooth reservation process for your field trip.
Reservations
Reservations are required for all school groups. School groups without an advance reservation will be charged full-price admission and must enter the Great Hall to purchase tickets. Please make reservations four weeks in advance, and even earlier for peak-season field trips (November/December and April/May). You must include Learning Labs, Omnimax movies, and use of a lunchroom in your reservation.

Groups with special needs may require additional chaperones; call 773-684-1414 if you have questions about your group. Pre-registration is required for all teachers, chaperones and children. Full general admission pricing will apply for those not pre-registered, and payment is due upon arrival.
Lunch
Limited lunchroom space is available by reservation only. Groups may bring their lunches or purchase box lunches. When you make your reservation, please be sure to indicate if you would like to eat lunch at the Museum. School groups must have a reservation and designated eating location to bring food and beverages into the Museum. The Museum offers adult and child box lunches. Box lunches must be ordered and paid for at the time of reservation and cannot be refunded. Adult lunches are $8.25, and child lunches are $5.
