Engage the Community: Science Minors Series
Our community initiatives extend the inspiration and fun of science discovery into our partner organizations. Children from diverse backgrounds are exposed to exciting ideas, opportunities and career paths.
- Science Minors Clubs offer elementary school students early, hands-on exposure to science in familiar after-school environments through partnerships with more than 38 schools and community organizations to date.
- Teens in the Science Minors program participate in 10 weeks of science education and training by Museum staff and outside scientists. Then, they demonstrate science experiments for Museum guests.
- Science Achievers participate in internships, mentor new classes of Science Minors and even facilitate Science Minors Clubs.
