Inviting Brilliance: Advisory Committees
Beginning several years ago, the Museum invited a group of civic and business leaders, educators, scientists and national experts to assist us in developing a bold plan to help realize our vision for the future. We asked them to help us think about ways we could bring important science topics to life for our guests, including today's health issues, basic science concepts and exploration of Earth and space. We also asked them to create new ways to engage students and guests in the learning experience, use technology to make the Museum visit simpler and more personal, and increase our visibility to help us reach the audiences that we must engage to fulfill our vision. We thank the following people for lending their time and talents to our efforts. This brilliant group includes a Nobel Laureate, NASA astronauts, teachers, physicists, doctors, cave explorers, storm chasers and more.
The Museum thanks Desirée G. Rogers for chairing the Advisory Committees effort.
