These past couple of weeks have been so super-duper hot! An extra shower can go a long way in making you feel more comfortable, but then you might start to feel bad about using so much water. Hopefully, there will be a solution available by the end of the year – water recycling showers!
The idea behind these showers isn't to keep the water for reuse as greywater (household wastewater reused for things like toilet flushing or watering landscaping). Instead, they will capture, filter, pasteurize, and then recirculate the water into the shower. This conserves the heat as well as the water! It sounds like a very efficient idea, but as PopSci user holyszack commented, you might consider it “a real reason not to pee in the shower”!
