Planning an Event
Whether you are hosting a corporate cocktail reception throughout the entire museum, a holiday dinner in our Rotunda space, a wedding reception in the Lagoon area, a summer picnic on the front lawn, our on-site event planners will work with you on every detail.
Bronzeville Blues Club
No music has had a more profound impact on our culture than the Blues and no city is more inextricably associated with modern Blues than Chicago. Located in our neighborhood on the streets of Chicago’s South side, the birthplace of the Blues, this is the “Bronzeville Blues Club.”
Guests will enter the Museum’s magnificent rotunda through an arched entrance with custom lettering reading “Bronzeville Blues Club”. Cabaret tables will be drenched in black and metallic cobalt blue linens. The rotunda will be awash with blue lighting and shimmering candles. Servers will pass Creole inspired hors d’oeuvres and Blue Note martinis as your guests listen to an authentic Blues Trio. The mood will be smooth and subtle as you rediscover Chicago’s musical roots.
Following cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, enjoy Blues inspired Strolling Dinner Buffets. The menu will range from barbecue to seafood and satisfy all appetites. Ample service staff will attend to the buffets and dining tables.
Following dinner, your guests will mingle back into your customized club and dance the night away to a live band playing legendary Blues and Rock tunes. Club servers will offer black fedora hats, blue feather boas and classic Blues Brothers sun glasses to add to the fun. We invite you to experience the grand atmosphere of the infamous clubs that set the music scene ablaze!
